Brake repairs
Brake repairs replace the parts that wear as you slow down: pads, discs and, every couple of years, the brake fluid. Brake pad changes are one of the jobs customers mention most in our Google reviews. We inspect, quote and fit at our garage on Clare Street, E2.
How we do it
If your brakes are squealing, grinding or the pedal feels different, get them checked. We’ll measure what’s left on your pads and discs, tell you honestly how long they have, and replace them only when they need it.

Brakes questions
Still unsure? Call 07985 523903 and ask.
How do I know my brake pads need replacing?
Common signs are a high-pitched squeal, a grinding noise, a brake warning light or the car taking longer to stop. Many pads have a wear indicator that squeals when they’re low. If you notice any of these, book a brake check before the pads damage the discs.
Do pads and discs have to be replaced together?
Not always. Discs usually last through two sets of pads, but if they are worn below the minimum thickness, scored or warped they should be replaced with the pads. Either way, pads and discs are always replaced in pairs on the same axle.
How often should brake fluid be changed?
Most manufacturers recommend changing brake fluid every two years. The fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point and can make the pedal feel soft under heavy braking. Check your service schedule, or ask us to test it at your next visit.
