Car servicing & oil changes
A car service is a scheduled check and refresh of the parts that wear out: oil, filters, fluids, brakes and tyres. We service cars at our garage on Clare Street, E2, following your manufacturer’s schedule, and tell you what we found in plain English, not jargon.
How we do it
Regular servicing is the cheapest way to avoid big bills. We change what’s due, check what’s wearing and flag anything that will need attention soon, so you can plan for it rather than be surprised by it.
What’s included
- Engine oil and oil filter change
- Air, fuel and cabin filters checked or replaced as due
- Fluid levels: coolant, brake fluid, power steering, washer
- Brake pads, discs and lines inspected
- Tyre tread, pressures and condition checked
- Lights, wipers, battery and belts checked
- Suspension and steering inspected

Servicing questions
Still unsure? Call 07985 523903 and ask.
How often should I service my car?
Most manufacturers recommend a service every 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, with an interim service around six months or 6,000 miles for high-mileage drivers. Your handbook or service record shows the exact schedule. Tell us your registration and we’ll check.
Will an independent service affect my warranty?
No, provided the work follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses parts of matching quality. UK competition law lets you choose an independent garage without losing your new-car warranty. Keep your invoices as a record of the work carried out.
What’s the difference between an interim and a full service?
An interim service covers the essentials: oil and filter change plus safety checks on brakes, tyres, lights and fluids. A full service adds more filters and a wider inspection. Which one you need depends on your mileage and when the car was last serviced.
